GROUP A COVERAGE
Basic Powertrain

ENGINE
Gasoline/Diesel
Internally Lubricated parts: Pistons, Piston Rings, Wrist Pins and Bushings, connecting Rods and Rod Bearings, Crankshaft and Main Bearings, Camshafts, Cam Chains and Cam Bearings, Timing Chain, Gears, Tensioners and Guides, Rocker Arms, Shafts and Bushings, Rocker Arm Pivots, Valve Seats, Valve Springs, Valve Spring Retainers, Valve Guides and Valve Push Rods, Hydraulic Valve Lifters, Oil Pump, Oil Pump Drive Shaft and Gears, Cylinder Head and Engine Block, if caused by the failure of an internal lubricated part.

TRANSMISSION/TRANSFER CASE
Automatic Transmission
Internally lubricated parts: Clutches, Bands, Pump, Pump Housing. Carrier Assembly, Planetary Gears, Drums, Reaction Shaft and Governor, Internal Linkage, Valve Body, Torque Converter, Servo assemblies, and Internal Solenoids.

Manual Transmission
Internally lubricated parts: Main Shaft, Counter Shaft, Input Shaft and Gears, Synchronizers, Shift Rails, Shift Forks, Internal Linkage and Bearings.

Transfer Case
Internal lubricated parts. Transmission case and transfer case covered only if failure caused by and internal lubricated part.

DRIVE ASSEMBLY
Rear wheel drive component parts Internally lubricated parts within the Drive Axle Housing: Bearings, Gears, Thrust Washers and Spacers, Limited Slip Posi-Traction on Rear Axle Assemblies, Front Differential Assemblies (on 4x4 units only), if cause by the failure of an internal lubricated part.

POWER STEERING
Parts contained within the steering gear box and pump housing including: Rack and Pinion, Control Valve, Bearings and Shafts, Steering Box, Pump Housing.

Labor: 1st Choice MBC will reimburse the Agreement Holder for the reasonable cost of labor necessary to make the required repairs to the parts covered by this agreement. Labor hours will be determined by a current nationally published flat rate manual.

Towing: 1st Choice MBC will reimburse the Agreement Holder for the actual expense up to $50.00 for towing the vehicle to the nearest repair facility, provided that the cause of the breakdown and/or the failure is covered by this agreement.

Rental Cars: 1st Choice MBC will reimburse the Agreement Holder up to $30.00 per day (maximum $150.00 per claim) in the event that a mechanical breakdown of a covered component required labor in excess of eight(8) hours.

GROUP B COVERAGE
Coverage* includes all of Group A, plus

ENGINE
Additional covered parts are: Water Pump, Radiator, Fuel Pump, Fuel Injectors, Fuel Tank Sending Unit, Diesel Fuel Injection Pump, Metal Fuel Lines, Cooling Fan and Fan Clutch, Harmonic Balancer, Valve Covers, Engine Mounts, Serpentine Belt Tensioner, Ignition Module, and EGR Valve. Engine Oil Pan, if cause by failure of an internal lubricated part.

TRANSMISSION
Additional covered parts are: Transmission Mount. Filler Tube and Dipstick, Front Hub Assemblies on 4x4 units only. Vacuum Modulator, Transmission Oil Pan, if cause by failure of an internal Lubricated Part.

DRIVE ASEMBLY
Additional covered parts are: Axle Shafts and Constant Velocity Joints (provided the boot is not damaged), Universal joints, Flex-Disc and Drive Shaft.

POWER STEERING
Additional covered parts are Power steering Pressure of Return Hoses.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Alternator, Diode Trio, Brushes, Starter Motor, Starter Drive, starter Solenoid and Starter Relay, Electric Fuel Pump, Wiper Motor (s) (windshield and rear), Wiper Motor Relay, Windshield Washer Pump, Power Window Motor (excludes sunroof), Power Window Switch, Power Window Regulator, Power Door Lock Actuators, Power Door Lock Switch, Power Seat Motors, and Engine Cooling Fan Motor.

BRAKE SYSTEM
Master Cylinder, Brake Booster, Wheel Cylinders, Brake Fluid Lines, Compensating Valve, and Disc Calipers, ABS: Module Accumulator, Pressure Modulator Valve, and Wheel Speed Sensor.

HEAT & AIR CONDITIONING
(Factory Installed Units Only)
Compressor, Compressor Clutch, Evaporator, Condenser, Receiver Dryer, Expansion Valve, Heater Core, and Blower Motor.

SEALS AND GASKETS
Water Pump Gasket, Crankshaft Oil Seal, Valve Cover Gasket, Front Timing Cover Gasket, Main Bearing Oil seal, Oil Pan Gasket, Main Bearing Oil Seal, Oil Pan Gasket, Extension Houseing Seal, Transmission Oil Pan Gasket, Axle Seal, Differential Cover Gasket, Pinion Shaft Seal, and Output Shaft Seal. Any other seals and gasket are covered only in conjunction with the failure of a covered component.

1ST CHOICE PLUS MECHANICAL BREAKDOWN AGREEMENT
* The Agreement will cover the parts and labor necessary to repair a failure of any parts of the covered vehicle,
except those listed under what is not covered

WHAT IS COVERED BY THIS AGREEMENT

Engine (Gasoline, Diesel, Or Hybrid), Transmission (Manual Or Automatic), Drive Assembly, Power Steering, Electrical System, Heat And Air Conditioner, Brake System. All Components Except Those Listed Under “WHAT IS NOT COVERED BY THIS AGREEMENT/EXCLUSIONS.”

Seals And Gaskets: Covered On All Components Except Those Listed Under “WHAT IS NOT COVERED BY THIS AGREEMENT/EXCLUSIONS.”

Diagnosis: Diagnostic Charges As Determined By 1ST CHOICE MBC On A Covered Repair.

Labor: 1ST CHOICE MBC Will Reimburse The Agreement Holder Or Pay Repair Facility, Whichever Is Applicable, For The Reasonable Cost Of Labor Necessary To Make The Required Repairs To The Parts Covered By This Agreement.

Towing: 1ST CHOICE MBC Will Pay Up To $100.00 For Towing The Vehicle To The Nearest Repair Facility, Provided The Cause Of The Breakdown And/Or The Failure Is Covered By This Agreement.

Rental Vehicles: 1ST CHOICE MBC Will Reimburse The Agreement Holder For The Cost, As Specified Below, Of A Rental Vehicle, Provided That The Agreement Holder’s Vehicle Has Become Disabled Due To The Failure Of Any Of The Parts Covered In This Agreement, And The Necessary Repairs Require More Than Eight (8) Hours Of Labor Time. Reimbursement Shall Not Exceed $35.00 Per Each 8 Hours Of Actual Repair Time, With A Maximum Of $175.00 Per Claim. Rental Is Only Valid For Vehicles Rented Through Licensed Rental Agencies. 1ST CHOICE MBC Is Not Liable If Agreement Holder Does Not Meet Rental Agency Requirements To Rent A Vehicle.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED BY THIS AGREEMENT/EXCLUSIONS

• Paint, Carpet, Interior Or Exterior Trim, Bright Metals, Sealed Beams, Adhesives,Headliners Or Floor Coverings, Dashboards, Upholstery, And Any Other Materials Not Related To The Mechanical Operating Condition Of Your Vehicle.
• Options Not Installed By The Manufacturer.
• Nuts, Bolts, Washers, Or Other Fasteners, Fluids, Lubricants, Coolants, Refrigerants, And Filters. Unless Necessary Under A Covered Repair.
• Frame Or Body Damage, Glass, And Sheet Metal.
• Heating Components For Seats And Mirrors. Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems, Tire Pressure Sensors, Keyless Remotes, Remote Start, Alarm Systems, And Ignition Keys.
• Air Bags, Seat Belts, Supplemental Restraint Systems.
• Headlight, Taillight, And Brake Light Assemblies, Turn And Taillight Sockets, Headlamp Wipers And Washers Or Related Components.
• Noises Including Body Rattles, Squeaks, And Wind Noises. Water Or Air Leaks, Weather Stripping Or Repairs Needed As A Result Of Rust Or Corrosion.
• Alignments, Flushing Or Reprogramming Unless In Conjunction With A Covered Repair.
• Damaged Or Broken Wires And Wiring Harness.
• Scheduled Maintenance And Wear Items Including, But Not Limited To Wiper Blades, Brake Drums And Rotors, Brake Pads And Shoes, Exhaust Pipes, Mufflers, Clamps, Belts, Hoses (High Pressure, Steering And Air Conditioning Hoses Are Covered), Catalytic Converter, Friction Materials, Valve Grinding, Light Bulbs, Lenses, Manual Transmission Clutch Disc, Throwout Bearing, Pilot Bushing, And Clutch Components, Spark Plugs And Wires, Tires, Wheels, Wheel Balancing, Batteries, Battery Cables, Drain And Fill Plugs, Glow Plugs, CV Joint Boots.
• Timing Belts On Vehicles With More Than 60,000 Miles-Must Provide Proof Of Scheduled Replacement To Be Covered.
• Electronic Equipment And Devices Not Related To The Operational Condition Of The Vehicle Including, But Not Limited To, Radios, Cellular Phones, Televisions, Navigational Or Locating Devices, Electronic Information Systems.
• Hybrid Electric Motor, Generator, Voltage Converter, And Voltage Inverter.
• Any Cost Covered By The Manufacturer, A Service Contract, Or A Service Facility Guarantee Even If The Coverage Is Revoked Or Denied For Any Reason.
• A MECHANICAL BREAKDOWN Caused By A Collision, Fire, Theft, Freezing, Acts Of God, Failure To Perform Required Servicing, Contamination, Foreign Objects, Fluid Intermix, Improper Installation Of Any Covered Part, Lack Of Lubrication.
• A MECHANICAL BREAKDOWN Caused By Pulling A Trailer Or Another Vehicle With A GVW In Excess Of 2000 Lbs., Unless Your Vehicle Is Equipped With A Factory Installed Tow Package As Recommended By The Manufacturer.
• Any Part(s) Which Has Not Sustained A MECHANICAL BREAKDOWN But Which A Repair Facility Recommends As An Upgrade Or Requires Be Repaired Or Replaced In Connection With The Repair Or Replacement Of A Covered Part(s).
• Storage Charges, Maintenance Items, Core Charges, State And Local Taxes, Shop Supplies Or Hazardous Waste Disposal, Freight And Delivery Charges.
• Repairs Made Solely To Meet Or Maintain Governmental Emission Standards. Coverage Is Not Afforded For Adjustments, Including Freon Conversion Cleaning And Maintenance Operations.
• Any Repair Or Replacement Of Any Part When It Has Been Determined That The Condition Existed Prior To The Date Of Purchase Of This Vehicle.
• A MECHANICAL BREAKDOWN Caused By Insufficient Coolant Or Fluid Levels, Freezing Or Overheating, And Engine Damage From Overheating.
• A MECHANICAL BREAKDOWN Caused By A Non-Covered Part.
• A MECHANICAL BREAKDOWN Due To Misuse, Alterations From Manufacturer’s Specifications, Abuse, Negligence, Or Lack Or Proper Maintenance Or Breakdowns Caused By Improper Servicing Or Improper Repairs.
• If The Odometer Has Malfunctioned, Been Altered, Tampered With, Disconnected, Or In Any Way Misrepresents The Covered Vehicle’s Actual Mileage.
• Failure Of A Covered Part Which Is The Direct Result Of A Mechanical Or Structural Flaw That The Manufacturer Has Acknowledged Or That The Manufacturer Will Repair At Its Expense.
• 1ST CHOICE MBC Is Not Responsible For Inconvenience, Loss Of Income, Commercial Loss, Or Quality Of Repair Performed By Repair Facility.
